Vacation Mode

RescueTime can now recognize your vacation time from your calendar. All you need to do is connect your Google and/or Outlook calendar to RescueTime and then create a calendar event with one of the following keywords in the title.

vacation
unavailable

During your vacation, you’ll see a pinned alert on your Assistant with a palm tree signifying you’re in vacation mode. It’s that simple! Most of your alerts and notifications will be silenced during this time.

Focus Now

Go right into a Focus Session with Focus Now. Start a Focus Session from your Assistant and click the Focus Now button to focus immediately. You’re just two clicks away from starting that timer.

Use the Google Calendar Focus Time Feature! Open your calendar and click "➕ Create". Choose "Focus Time" and set the date and time. The event created will automatically trigger a Focus Session–easy as 🥧!

Offline Work

We understand that you do different types of work each day, and not all of that work is done on your computer. That’s why we’ve added the ability to track work that isn’t automatically recorded by the RescueTime Assistant.

At the end of the day (or whenever you have the opportunity), you can click ‘Add Offline Work’ in the RescueTime assistant and record additional offline Focus Work (white boarding, brainstorming, or written work done on paper), Meetings (for phone calls or in-person meetings), or Other Work (offline work that doesn’t fall under one of the other work types).
